The dipped dye look is quite a trend at the moment. I already found a lot of tutorials how to dye hair, shirts, denim and a lot more. I wanted to try out a dye DIY myself but I was kinda scared as well. I didn’t want to ruin my clothes and I am pretty sure the dip n‘ dye trend won’t last so long. That’s why I decided to start with a small project, like dyed nails! It is really easy and  I love how the result came out.

Der Dip&Dye Look liegt gerade sehr im Trend und ich habe schon auf vielen Blogs unterschiedliche DIY gesehen auf denen Haare, Jeans, Kleider und vieles mehr getunkt und gefärbt wurden. Ich wollte diese Technik auch unbedingt einmal ausprobieren bin jedoch etwas zu ängstlich es an meinen Kleidern auszuprobieren und diese womöglich zu ruinieren. Aus diesem Grund habe ich mich für eine etwas gefahrlosere Variante entschieden und zwar das Nagel Dip&Dye. Es ist wirklich einfach nachzumachen und das Ergebnis gefällt mir gut.

For dip-dye nails you need just a few things:
– two or three nail varnishes of the same colour family. (I went for dark and light blue)
– a sponge
– a cotton bud- nail varnish remover to make corrections
– a non absorptive base (you can use a plastic bag)

1. You choose a base color for your nails and paint those.
2. You empty some of your two/three varnishes on the non absorptive base.
3. Take the sponge and dip it into the first varnish and dab it gently on your nails. You should start with the tip and move down.
4. Do the same with the darker colour.
5. Clean your fingers and correct your nails with the cotton bud.
6. Apply top coat while the varnish is still wet to smear the colors together and to get a nicer blending.

Für das Dip&Dye braucht ihr folgendes:
– zwei oder drei Nagellacke aus der gleichen Farbfamilie.
– ein Stück Schwamm
– Wattestäbchen
– Nagellackentferner für Korrekturarbeiten
– eine Unterlage, die nicht saugfähig ist (z.B. Plastikfolie)

1. Wähle eine Grundierung für deine Nägel und lackiere diese.
2. Verteile den Nagellack großzügig auf der Unterlage.
3. Nimm den Schwamm, tunke ihn in den ersten Nagellack und tupfe vorsichtig deine Nägel damit ab. Beginne von unten nach oben.
4. Wiederhole das mit der dunklen Farbe.
5. Korrigiere misslungene Stellen mit dem Wattestäbchen.
6. Trage zum Schluss durchsichtigen Nagellack auf (aber noch während die Farben feucht sind) um einen schönen Übergang zu erhalten.
